Funeral service for Earline Eleanor Mason, age 88, will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at 11am at United Methodist Church of Kinder. Rev. Willis Dear will officiate. Burial will follow on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at 12 noon in Forest Park Cemetery of Houston, Texas under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
Visitation will be held in Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 from 6-8pm and will continue on Wednesday from 7am until time of service.
Earline was a resident of Kinder and a member of the First United Methodist Church. She worked for Bennett's Pharmacy and the Allen Parish Hospital. She and her husband, Herman, were members of RVICS (Roving Volunteers in Christ Service). They traveled throughout the country helping to repair and build church camps, orphanages and church properties. She also loved working in her garden. Tending to her roses was one of her favorite pastimes. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her five sons, Charles Henderson and wife, Paula of Lake Charles, Earl Henderson and wife, Linda of Many, Don Henderson and wife, Freida of Snyder, TX, Terry Mason and wife, Irene of Show Low, AZ, Joe Michael Mason and wife, Joy of Alvin, TX; two daughters, Barbara Daugherty and husband, Craig of Tyler, TX and Belinda Reeves of Prescott City, AZ; one sister, Betty Shafer of Vidor, TX; one sister-in-law, Ramona Lee of Dallas, TX; four nephews; four nieces; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Earline is preceded in death by her first husband, Calvin Daniel Henderson; her second husband, Herman Howard Mason; and her brother, W.W. Landgrebe.
The family wishes to express their deepest thanks to the staff of the Guardian House for the wonderful care of their mother as well as her sitter, Louella.
