Obituary

Kinder-Funeral service for Earl Elbert Coble, 83, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder. Rev. David Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery in Woodlawn under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home.
The family will receive visitors at Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder on Friday, November 29, 2013 from 4-9 p.m. Visitation will continue Saturday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.
Earl worked hard over the years to provide for his family. He was a successful rice, bean and crawfish farmer and also owned and operated Earl's Lumberyard. He was also a member of the water board in Hayes. He was a devoted husband of 55 years as well as a loving father and grandfather.
Survivors include one son, Thomas Coble and wife, Juanette of Welsh; four daughters, Brenda Savant and husband, Johnny (Skippy) of Kinder, Rita McCart and husband, Lee of Edmond, OK, Kathie Lombardo and husband, Sam of Hayes and Tricia Phillips and husband, Bob of Lake Charles; one brother, Clyde Coble; four sisters, Hazel Lavergne, Gladys Anselem, Ida Mae Robicheaux and Ruth Ann Onken; 18 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Earl is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Bertha Coble; his wife, Violet Coble; one son, Elbert Coble; and two sisters, Helen English and Ethel Marie Coble.
The family of Mr. Coble would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Peggy Allemand, Brighton Bridge Hospice and Kinder Retirement Center for the loving care given to their father.
