Kinder – Funeral Mass for Mr. Durell J. Peloquin Sr., 70, will be held Friday, October 12, 2007 at 1l AM in St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Father Marshall Boulet will officiate. Burial will be in Carter Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 3pm till 10pm. with a Rosary at 7pm. Visitation will continue Friday at 8am until time of service.
Mr. Peloquin was a member of the following organizations: Knights of Columbus, President of the Allen Parish Fair Association, Member of LA. Pork Producers Association, Scholarship Committee member of the Southwest District Livestock Show, Committee member of the Allen Parish Livestock Show, LA High School Coaches Association, Retired Teachers of Louisiana Association and a member of St. Phillip Neri Catholic Church.
Mr. Peloquin's accomplishments were: 47+ years as an educator; Director of
Education for Allen Parish Correctional Center; Five consecutive State Championship Cross Country; Six State Championships; Four State Runner-ups; Numerous Coach of the Year Honors; 1955 Basketball State Champs, Fenton High School.
Mr. Peloquin passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2007 in Kinder.
Mr. Peloquin was preceded in death by his parents Murray and Eunice Peloquin and sister Judy Peloquin.
Survivors include his wife Mrs. Elaine S. Peloquin of Kinder; his children Durell J. Peloquin Jr. of Kinder, Patrick Peloquin and wife Beth of Rosenberg, TX.; Chad Peloquin and wife Tammy of Kinder, Natalie Montou and husband Rick of Oberlin; sister, Jackie Breaux and husband Mike of Fenton; grandchildren, Aerial, Zach, Payton, Trooper, Levi, Cade, Jolie, Chloe.
