Dottie was born in Decatur, Texas to a family of eleven children. She moved to Kinder in 1953 where she raised her family. She was a very accomplished seamstress and cook, loved to shop, and spent many, many hours reading over the years. As a very devout woman, she spent many years being active in the church, as well. She will be missed by her many friends and family who will cherish her memory.
Survivors include Dottie's son, Charlie Lee Carson of Kinder; her daughter, Diane Carson Lott and husband, Ward of Horseshoe Bay, TX; one brother, Kenneth Griffeth of Denton, TX; one sister, Peggy Mayfield of Fort Worth, TX; two grandchildren-Diana Lott and Ashley Ohls and husband, Ryan, all of Austin; and, two great grandchildren-Ryan Ohls, Jr. and Callie Ann Ohls, both of Austin, TX.
Dottie is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Carson, her parents, Tommie and Thomas Griffeth, and one son, Johnny Carson.
Dottie's family would like to extend a very special thanks to Harbor Hospice for the care given to their mother. Also, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Green Oak Bible Church in Dottie's name.
