Dorothy, affectionately called “Dot” by all who knew her, was a loving and compassionate, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to all. She was a faithful and devoted wife to her husband, and the love of her life Evans Guillory Jr. for fifty-two years. Dorothy was also the best mother-in-law in the world. She was a woman of strong faith and a member of Fenton Baptist Church where she loved the Lord and was an amazing prayer warrior. Some of her favorite past times included crocheting, traveling with her husband, daughter, and son-in-law, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she dearly adored. Dorothy was the kindest woman in the world and will be forever missed and unconditionally loved by all who knew her.
Those left to cherish Dorothy’s memory include her son, Derek Scott Guillory and wife Saundra, her daughter, Robin Guillory and husband Richard; one sister, Patsy Martin and husband Pete; one sister-in-law, Gayle Hamilton; three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Evans Guillory Jr.; her parents, Edward and Evelyn Hamilton; and one brother, J.G. Hamilton.
In lieu of flower the family request making a donation to Fenton Baptist Church.
The family also would like to extend a heartfelt gratitude to her nurses Amber, Doreen and Lauren who she loved dearly.
Condolences and expressions of sympathy may be shared with Dorothy’s family at www.ardoinfuneralhome.com or on Facebook-Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.
