Oakdale-Funeral services for Dorothy L. Clover, 83, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home on Friday, January 14, 2022 from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. Visitation will resume on Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until time of service.

Dorothy "Dot" was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who devoted her life to caring for her family. She traveled with her husband while he was in the military and visited many places that gave her lasting memories of her one true love, Bob. They were married for twenty-six years before his passing in 1983. From this marriage, they had four children whom she adored and was very proud to call her own. Dot was an employee of Pinecrest for forty years where she cared for her special children. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish Dot's memory include her daughter, Jodi Lejeune and husband, David; two brothers, Willie and LB Monk; two sisters, Charity Monk and Linda Nugent; four grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

Dot is preceded in death by her parents, William Monk and Sallie Markle; husband, Robert Clover; three sons, Mike, Bobby and Rodney Clover; two brothers, Fred and David Monk; and four sisters, Judy Bryant, Artie Mae Jeansonne, Nelly Jordan and Mary Lee Roddy.
