Rev. Donald, affectionately called Bro. Donnie by all who knew him was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, pastor, and friend. He was a faithful husband to his wife Mary Lynne Willis for 65 years until her passing in March of 2023. Bro. Donnie was a devoted pastor for 60 years where he loved to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. During his time as a pastor, he had to opportunity to pastor four churches including his current church, Fenton Baptist Church where he was a wonderful pastor for 56 years. Bro. Donnie was a carpenter and contractor by trade and loved woodworking. He enjoyed reading, drinking coffee, but most importantly spending time with his family whom he dearly loved and adored. Many of his peers, especially his granddaughter claimed he was like Christ because of the way he lived his life. He was a preacher, teacher, carpenter, and shared his birthday with Jesus, and because of how much he loved his congregation. Bro. Donnie leaves behind a legacy of love, stories, and compassion. He will be unconditionally loved and forever missed by all who knew him.
