Funeral service for Donald Wayne Spears, 53, will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at 11 o'clock a.m. at LeBlanc Pentecostal Church. Rev. Alfred Gibson will officiate. Burial will follow in Green Oak Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
The family will receive visitors at LeBlanc Pentecostal Church on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 from 3-9 p.m. and will resume visitation at the church on Wednesday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.
Donald was a resident of Kinder and worked in the construction industry. He was a loving father, grandfather, and brother. His memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his sons, Donald Spears, Jr. and wife, Misty, of Longville, and Kyle Smith and wife, Brandy, of Lake Charles; one daughter, Daisy Spears, of Sulphur; one sister, Mary Burgess of Longville; seven brothers, Jesse Spears and wife, Marie, Daniel Spears and wife, Brenda, Richard Spears and wife, Sheila, Johnny Spears and wife, Peggy, all of Kinder, Leon Spears and wife, Jolynn, of Longville, Gerald Spears and wife, Mary, and Paul Spears and girlfriend, Carolyn, all of Kinder; and 18 grandchildren.
Donald is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Katherine Spears; and one brother, William Monroe Spears.
