Kinder-It is with heavy hearts that the family of Donald Tilman Presley, age 61, announce his passing on February 27, 2015. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder. Rev. Alfred Gibson will officiate. Burial will follow in Cryer Cemetery of Oakdale.
The family will receive visitors at Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder on Monday, March 2, 2015 from 3-9 p.m. for Donald and his sister, Patsy Johnson, who also passed away on Friday. Visitation will resume on Tuesday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.
Donald was a resident of Oberlin. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed "cutting up" and having a good time. Donald liked to read safari novels. And, his motto was a quote by Augustus McCrae-"Life was quite a party." He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Bernadine Presley of Oberlin; two sons, Timothy Blanchard and wife, Kristin, of Oakdale and Jeffrey Presley of Oberlin; two brothers, Kenneth Presley of Oakdale and Stephen Presley and wife, Magdalene, of Kinder; one sister, Deborah Langley and husband, Joey, of Kinder; 5 grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Donald is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Estha Presley.
