Kinder-Funeral services for Donald Joseph Manuel, 70, will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder. Rev. Jose Vattakunnel will officiate. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home on Friday, July 22, 2022 from 5-9 p.m. Visitation will resume on Saturday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.

Donald was a loving father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family; especially his grandchildren. Donald enjoyed raising his cows and gardening. His son-in-law, Christopher, was like the son he never had—they did everything together from running errands to spending the day together.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Donald's memory include his three daughters, Kachada Reeves and husband, Christopher, of Sulphur, Jessica Fontenot of New Iberia and Ashley Campbell and husband, William, of Killeen, TX; and seven grandchildren, Sarah Simon and husband, Zachary, Miles Coleman, Landen Coleman, Hunter Manuel, Greenley Manuel, Javan Sommerfield and Bailey Sommerfield.

Donald is preceded in death by his parents, Vallery and Leda Manuel; and two brothers, his twin-Ronald "Joe" Manuel and Rudy Manuel.
