Reeves-Funeral service for Donald "Lynn" Lusk, 58, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 18, 2016 , at Reeves Bible Church. Rev. Glen Ducharme, Rev. Mark Land, and Rev. U.A. Doiron will officiate. Burial will follow in Lyles Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
The family will receive visitors at Reeves Bible Church from 4-9 p.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2016. Visitation will resume at the church on Thursday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.
Lynn was a loving father and pawpaw. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting in the river bottom. He loved to cook and made a great sauce piquante. He liked to garden and was very proud of his vegetables. He also loved his guns and knives. Lynn loved spending time with his family, especially his grandbabies. Lynn loved his wife, Linda. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish Lynn's memory include his wife, Linda; his son Derrick Dupuis and wife, Lacey, of DeRidder; five daughters, Kristin Lusk of Slagle, Tiffany Whitehead and husband, George, of DeRidder, Erin Knight and husband, Brian, of DeRidder, Jessica Smith and husband, Allen, of Merryville, and Chelsea Thompson and husband, Cole, of Anacoco; one brother, Craig Rion and wife, Jackie, of Moss Bluff; one sister, Nan Dennis of Seagoville, Texas; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Lynn is preceded in death by his parents Donald Lusk, Georgia "Lou" Doiron Rion, and Ernest "Toody" Rion; and brother-in-law Wayne Dennis.
