Kinder-On Sunday, February 06, 2011 Dolly Scogin, 63, went to be with the Lord after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loved ones at the time of her passing. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at 11AM in Green Oak Cemetery. Rev. Mike Paxton will officiate.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 7, 2011 from 5-9 PM in Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder and will continue on Tuesday morning from 8AM until time of service.
Dolly was a retired hair instructor at Demon's Beauty School with over sixteen years experience. She was a devoted wife of over twenty-seven years. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and will be truly missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her husband, James Scogin; two sons, Kevin "Bubba" Fontenot and wife, Stephanie of Kinder and Keith Scogin and wife, Shelly of Jennings; five daughters, Marty Langley and husband, Rusty of Oberlin, Debra Larrieu and husband, Johnny of New Orleans, Kristy Nelson and husband, Shane of Kinder, Kara Scogin of Kinder, and Kendria LeJeune and husband, Karman of Dahlgren, Virginia; two sisters, Lynne Ivosevich and husband, Donald of Wheaton, Maryland and Lena Edwards of Camp Wood, Texas; twenty-one grandchildren; and, one great grandchild.
Dolly is preceded in death by her parents, T.L. Petroff and Audrey Beal; her stepmother, Dorothy Patterson; her brother, Nick Petroff; and one sister, Lyvia Kadrmas.
