Forest Hill-Celebration of Life services honoring Dirk Douglas Parish, 61, will be held at 11 o’clock am on Thursday morning, May 21, 2026, at Forest Hill Baptist Church. Rev. Thomas Leggett will officiate. Dirk will be laid to rest at Union Hill Cemetery immediately following his services.

    Dirk’s family will receive friends and visitors at Forest Hill Baptist Church on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 4-9 o’clock p.m. Dirk’s Visitation will resume on Thursday from 8 o’clock a.m. until time of service. All of Dirk’s arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale.

    Dirk Douglas Parish of Woodworth, La was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He entered eternal rest at his home on Monday, May 18, 2026, with his mother by his side. Dirk loved serving others and would always show up in their time of need. He enjoyed tinkering around the house and taking care of his animals. His work ethic was unmatched. Dirk’s favorite pastime was popping fireworks with his grandchildren and making seasonal candies with his mother. He never met a stranger and would give you the shirt off his back, if you needed it. Dirk will be missed and unconditionally loved by all who knew him.

    Those left to cherish Dirk’s memory include his mother, Elsie Mae Clark; his three sons, Christopher Johnson, Derrick Parish, and Brandon Parish; one brother, Jerry Turner; one sister, Nikki Caminita; ten grandchildren, Taylor, Christian, Abigail, Connor, Anora, Bella, Jonah, Maddox, Macie, and Noah; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

    Dirk is preceded in death by his father, Donald Parish; stepfather, Harold Clark; and one brother, Lance Parish
