Pitkin-Funeral services for Diana Moore, 78, will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Gravel Hill Baptist Church in Pitkin. Rev. Chad Estes and Rev. Arlin Smith will officiate. Burial will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Gravel Hill Baptist Church on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 from 4-10 p.m. Visitation will resume on Thursday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.

Diana was a loving wife to her husband, James, for twenty-five years until his passing in 1983, as well as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her kids and grandkids were her world. She was a devoted Christian who loved worshipping the Lord and attending church. Diana enjoyed working in her yard always making sure to keep it pristine and going on trips with her cousins. She was always ready to cook for her family, especially milk gravy and biscuits for her grandchildren. Diana will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish Diana's memory include her two sons, Kenneth (Shirley) Moore of Pitkin and Lewis Moore of Fort Worth, TX; ten grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Diana is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Annabelle Combs; husband, James Moore; son, John Wayne Moore; two daughters, Theresa Moore and Rachel Morrison; and sister Violet Schonover.
