Oberlin-Funeral Service for DeWitt Clinton Lambright, Jr, age 79, will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oberlin.  Rev. Don Duplechain will officiate.  Burial will follow in Oaklin Springs Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home.
The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oberlin beginning Monday, January 15, 2018 from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m.   Visitation will continue on Tuesday morning at the funeral home from 8 a.m. until time of service.
DeWitt was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather.  He served our country over 21 years in the United States Army.  He traveled all over the world during his military career.  He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.  DeWitt loved spending time with his family and friends.  He will be greatly missed.
Those left to cherish his memory include his son, D.C. Lambright and wife, Kathy, of Houston, TX; two daughters, Susan Rider and husband, Kevin, and Jennifer Young and husband, Bryan, all of Oberlin; three brothers, Vinton Lambright and wife, Violet, of New Caney, TX, Gurvis Lambright and wife, Jeannie, of Pineville, and Harold Lambright and wife, Donna, of Friendswood, TX; 8 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.
DeWitt was preceded in death by his parents, DeWitt and Bertha Lambright; two brothers, Odell and Harry Lambright; and one sister, Margie Wagley.
