Kinder-J. Dennis "Cubby" Culbertson, 58, passed away on Friday, June 29, 2012.
His funeral service will be held at Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder on Sunday,
July 1, 2012 at 2pm. Brother Alfred Gibson will officiate. Burial will follow
in Kinder McRill Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of
Kinder.
The family will receive visitors on Saturday, June 30, 2012 from 12-10pm
at Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder and will continue Sunday, July 1, 2012 from
8 am until time of service.
Dennis was a lifelong resident of Kinder. He graduated from Kinder
High School in 1972 and enlisted in the U. S. Navy where he served our country
for 6 years. He worked hard to provide for his family by doing construction,
truck driving, and aircraft mechanic work. He enjoyed coin collecting but his
true passion was the open air and freedom with his motorcycle. He was a loving
dad and grandfather. He will be missed by all who knew him and will be forever
cherished by his children.
He is survived by two daughters, Stacy Champagne and partner Summer
Deshotel, and Samantha Meche and husband Mark; two sons, Wesley and Dustin
Culbertson; and three sisters, Janice Soulieau and husband Brent of Denham Springs,
Laura Simon of Walker, and Netha Jean Hicks and husband Roy of Moss Bluff; and
nine grandchildren, Haley, Aaron, Madison, Kassidy, Anthony, Marcus, Gracie Mae, Leah, and Wesley Jr.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Paulette Courville Culbertson; and one
grandchild, Kyle Joseph Culbertson.
