Elton-Funeral service for Della Marie Landry Mancil, 28, will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton. Burial will follow in Hebert Cemetery of Hecker.
The family will receive visitors at Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton on Monday, July 29, 2013 from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation will continue on the following morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.
Della is a graduate of Elton High School. She worked for the United States Post Office for several years. She was a loving mom and dear friend to many. She loved the outdoors and was an avid LSU fan. She was very photogenic, loved to take pictures, and always had a smile on her face. She loved life and being with family and friends. Della's memory will live on in all who loved her, especially her three boys.
Left to mourn her loss are her mother, Bernice Sylestine Landry; her three sons, Landon, Kolten and Talan Mancil; two sisters, Ida Landry and Elsie Lewis; one brother, Dennis "Poncho" Landry, Jr; her maternal grandfather, Carl J. Sylestine; and her former husband, Jonathan Mancil; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Della is preceded in death by her father, Dennis Landry, Sr.
