Elton-Funeral service for Mrs. Della Vidrine Dupre, 82, will be held Monday,
January 31, 2011 at 11AM in Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton. Rev. Vernon
Martindale will officiate. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Sunday, January 30, 2011 from 1-9pm in Ardoin
Funeral Home and continue Monday at 8am until time of service.
Della was a member of Livingstone Bible Church for over 40 plus years
and attended weekly bible study and was an usher in her church. She had a
Doctorate Degree in Nursing and worked as an RN for ten years and then taught OB/GYN
Nursing for more than 30 years in Houston and Galveston. She was a
devoted wife of over 65 years and enjoyed her gardening very much. She was
known by her students as a Christian Mentor, not only for teaching nursing
but leading her students to the Lord. She was a dear friend to all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Mr. Renes Dupre of Elton; one brother, Eddie Vidrine and wife, Davelyn of Chattanooga, TN; two nephews,
David Vidrine & wife Tammy of Elton, Mike Vidrine & wife Shirley of Elton;
and numerous great nephews and great nieces.
Della is preceded in death by her parents, Ade' & Annie (Fontenot) Vidrine; and
her brother Raymond Lee Vidrine.
