Ragley-Funeral services for Mr. Del C. Ahrens, 79, will be held Thursday, January
17, 2013 at 2pm in Creel Memorial Gardens Chapel at Camp Pearl/Reeves. Rev. Glenn
Ducharme will officiate and burial will follow in Creel Cemetery under the
direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
Visitation will be held at Creel Memorial Gardens Chapel Thursday, January
17, 2013 from 10am till time of service.
Mr. Ahrens served our country in the U.S. Airforce as a Fighter Pilot. He
worked for the International Harvestor and Case Company and later retired for the United States Government at the Rock Island Arsenal location. He enjoyed horse racing, drag racing, and the outdoors very much. He was a perfectionist in everything he did He was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather. He also was a friend to all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Airhart Ahrens of Ragley; two sons, Dean
and Douglas Ahrens of Ragley; one brother, Russell Ahrens and wife Karen of Moline,
ILL.; and two grandchildren, Ciara and Chyanne; and one great grandchild, Dwight.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Iola and Russell Ahrens; and one son,
Daniel Glenn Ahrens.
