Glenmora- Debra Kim Crooks, 68, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 29, 2026. Debra’s family will host private memorial and inurnment services in her memory at a future date. All of Debra’s arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale.

    Debra Kim Crooks was born on Friday, April 18,1958, to the union of James and Bobbye Fox. Debra lived a life centered around love, family, and quiet strength. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who played an irreplaceable role in the lives of those she loved. Debra shared a deep and special bond with her family, helping raise her grandchildren and creating memories that will be cherished for generations. She was known for her strong -willed and determined nature, balanced by a goofy, outspoken spirit that shined brightly around those closest to her. Though she could be reserved and shy in public, her family knew her as a source of laughter, honesty, and unconditional love. She also had a love for rock n' roll music, a passion that reflected her spirited personality and brought rhythm and joy to her life. Her legacy lives on through family she loved so deeply. Though she is no longer with us, the impact she made and the love she gave will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew her.

    Debra is survived by her loving husband, Ken Crooks; her mother, Bobbye Fox; her children, Keri Kaye Tost and husband Cory, Kenneth “Kenny” James Crooks and wife Amy, and Kane Fox Crooks and wife Jamie; brother, Michael James Fox; her grandchildren, Presley Poullard, Kenley Dowdy, Drake Dowdy, and Wilder Crooks; and her great-grandchildren, Kross Poullard, Ellie Poullard, and Remi Funderburk.

    Debra is preceded in death by her father, James Fox.
