Kinder-Funeral service for Dean Marcantel, 64, will be held on Monday, February 14, 2011 at 2PM in Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder. Deacon Roy Nash will officiate. Burial will follow in Green Oak Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
Visitation will be held in Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder beginning on Sunday evening from 5-9PM and will continue on Monday morning at 8AM until time of service.
Dean was a lifelong resident of Kinder. She attended St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. She worked in the food service industry preparing meals in local restaurants for over thirty years. Dean will be greatly missed by her loved ones and all who knew her.
Survivors include her sons, Rolin L. Marcantel, Jr. of Kinder, Tobie J. Marcantel and wife, Sonia of Jay, Florida, and Jimmy D. Marcantel of Iowa; two daughters, Nora D. Delaney and husband, Earl, and Sharon A. Marcantel, all of Kinder; a brother, Willard Israel and wife, Cathy of Kinder; a sister, Jane Thibodeaux and husband, Carroll, of Kinder; thirteen grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Dean is also preceded in death by her parents, Gertie and Webb Young, her husband, Jimmy Marcantel, and one son, Troy L. Marcantel.
