Mr. David Willis

Fenton-Funeral service for Mr. David Willis, 47, will be held Monday, April 5, 2010 at 10:00am in Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder, Louisiana. His father, Reverend Don Willis will officiate. Burial will follow in LeBleu Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
Visitation will be held Sunday in Ardoin Funeral Home from 5pm-9pm and will continue Monday morning from 8am until time of service.
Mr. Willis was a lifelong resident of Fenton. He was preceeded in death by a brother, Don Willis, Jr. David had a passion for horses. He was an accomplished trainer in reining and cutting, took part in horse showing, and often spent time riding horses with his children. He worked for several years at American South Builders of Eunice, Louisiana as a contract manager, overseeing the construction of homes. He loved to work with his hands-woodworking was something he enjoyed, especially working with furniture and cabinetry. He was a talented musician, as well. He played an array of instruments including guitar, violin and accordian. He was a member of Fenton Baptist Church, where he could often be heard playing an instrument. David also loved to read and loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his parents, Don and Mary Willis of Fenton; two sons, Dustin Willis and Michael Willis, both of Kinder; a daughter, Kailynn Willis of Moss Bluff; and two sisters, Sherri Cormier and husband, Phil, and Marella Hubachek and husband, Scott, all of Fenton.
