Kinder-Graveside Services for David "Louis" Manuel, 68, will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at Green Oak Cemetery. Rev. Keith Pellerin will officiate. All arrangements have been entrusted to Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home.

The family will have a small private gathering on Monday, April 20, 2020 at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder from 6 p.m. until.

Louis was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He served our country in the United States Navy for four years. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Estalena Pelican Manuel, for thirty seven years. Louis dearly loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, woodworking and being outdoors. Louis was a man of strong faith. He worked very hard as an electrician for Rowan Companies for twenty plus years to provide for his family. Louis will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Louis' memory include his mother-in-law, Laddie Pelican; wife, Estalena Manuel; one son, Jason Todd Manuel and wife, Bonnie, of Alexandria, VA; one stepson, Benji Ware; one brother, Phillip N. Manuel and wife, Teresa, of Katy, TX; two sisters, Ann Vidrine and husband, John, of The Woodlands, TX and Mary Henry and husband, Robert, of Sulphur; seven grandchildren, Sadie Manuel, Meggan Ware Nix, Allen Ware Nix, Keegan Ware, Ember Ware, Payton Ware Porche and Brittany Knight; six great grandchildren and one special great grandson, Christian Guy Ware.

Louis is preceded in death by his parents, Vodise and Jane Manuel; and one stepson, Jason Guy (Spanky) Ware.
