Oakdale-Funeral service for Daulton Welch, age 75, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2016 in the chapel of Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale. Rev. Charles Seal and Rev. Milton Pledger will officiate. Burial will follow in Pecan Grove Cemetery in Oakdale under the direction of Allen Parish Funeral Home.
The family will receive visitors at Allen Parish Funeral home, 311 Highway 1152, Oakdale, from 5-10 p.m. on Monday, December 12, 2016. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.
Daulton was a loving brother, husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He loved to hunt and fish. Daulton really loved to sing. He enjoyed spending time with his family and never met a stranger. Daulton was a devoted husband to his loving wife Nell for 57 years. He was a member of Cypress Creek Church of Christ. Daulton could sell anything to anyone. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish Daulton's memory include his wife, Nell Welch of Oakdale; one son, Daniel Welch and wife, Rhonda, of Oakdale; one daughter, Sarah Deshotel of Pine Prairie; three brothers, Charles Welch and wife, Lavone, of Kentwood, Gene Welch and wife, Donna, of Beaver Creek, Wayne McMillian and wife, Renetta, of Pine Prairie; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Daulton is preceded in death by his parents, C.C. "Bunk" Welch and Shirley Stine; two sons, Darrell Welch and Kirk Welch.
