Elton- Funeral service for Darlene Marie LaFosse, 66, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 25, 2017 at St. Paul Catholic Church. Rev. Jose Vattakunnel will officiate. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Elton.
The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Elton from 5-8 p.m. Friday, November 24, 2017 with the Holy Rosary at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.
Darlene was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed crafting and sewing with her grandchildren. She was famous for her pies; especially her pie crust. Darlene was a woman of strong faith and was a very devout catholic. She was very proud of her catholic heritage. She enjoyed growing roses, wood working with her sons, and making things that she could use in her home. Darlene cherished her family especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish Darlene's memory include her husband, Michael John LaFosse; four sons, Michael Luke LaFosse and wife, Keisha, of Elton, Gus Patrick LaFosse of Longview, TX, Jeremiah Jude LaFosse and wife, Nicole, of Roanoke, Isaiah Matthew LaFosse and wife, Valarie, of Elton; one daughter, Mary Katharine Hebert and husband, William, of Leblanc; two brothers, Eric Buller and wife, Martha, of Elton, Norman Buller and wife, Joanne, of Elton; one sister, Rebecca Shuff of Elton; and ten grandchildren.
Darlene is preceded in death by her parents, Elwood and Bernadine Buller.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Darlene's daughter-in-law, Keisha, for being there to help with all of her love and support especially in her final weeks.
