KINDER-Funeral service for Cynthia Penna, 52, will be held on Friday, April 25, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Ardoin Funeral Home. Rev. Greg Penna will officiate. All arrangements have been entrusted to Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.

The family will receive visitors at Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder beginning Thursday, April 24, 2014 from 3-9 p.m. and will resume visitation on Friday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.

Cynthia was a resident of Kinder and graduated from Mizpah Christian Academy of Lake Charles. She worked hard over the years to provide for her family. She retired from Fausto's Restaurant with 25 years of service, and   always enjoyed her work. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother. Cynthia adored her grandchildren. Her legacy will forever give comfort to her family and friends.

Cynthia always demonstrated unconditional love to every person in her life, and lived life with a servant hood spirit. She gave everything of herself to her friends, family, and work by always putting others wants and needs above her own. She was great example of how to serve others.

"Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return there: The Lord gave, and The Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord." Job 1:21

Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Evelyn "Jane" Courville and husband, James, of Lake Charles; her daughter, Ashleigh Hornsby and husband, James, of Lake Charles; two brothers, Jerry Penna and wife, Cathy, of Monroe, GA and Greg Penna and wife, Cindy, of Edmond, OK; one sister, Cheryl Fontenot and husband, Donald, of Lake Charles; two grandchildren, Nathan and Kadence Hornsby; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Cynthia is preceded in death by her father, Leroy Penna.
