Elton- Funeral Mass for Mr. Curtis "Buggy" Shuff Jr., 53, will be held Thursday, April 2, 2008 at 3p.m. in St. Paul Catholic Church in Elton. Father Marshall Boulet will officiate. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery in Elton under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton.
Visitation will be held Wednesday in the funeral home from 11am-9pm with a rosary at 7 p.m. and will continue Thursday at 8am until time of service.
Mr. Shuff was a resident of Elton and a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. He retired from the Port of Lake Charles. Buggy loved to be with his grandchildren and he enjoyed hunting & fishing. He passed away Monday, March 30, 2009 at St. Luke Hospital in Houston after a lengthy illness.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Becky Shuff of Elton; one son, Jeff Shuff of Elton; two daughters, Kayla McKay & husband James of Elton, Kelli Chevallier & husband Curtis of Lake Charles; two brothers, Clifford Shuff & wife Judy of Lake Charles & Rufus Shuff & wife Glenda Sue of Toledo Bend; two sisters, Charlotte Savant of Elton & Sandra Ford & husband Billy of Sugartown; six grandchildren, Gavyn, Connor, Cameron, Catlin, Bryson, & Madison; numerous nieces & nephews.
He is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Marissa Claire; nephew, Paul Guillory; sister, Yvonne Manuel; parents, Curtis Sr. & Ella Shuff.
