Elton- Funeral service for Mr. Cursey J. Douget, Sr., 67, was held Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at 11 AM in Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder. Elder Craig Sheppard officiated. Visitation was held Monday, from 4 to 9 PM and continued Tuesday from 8 AM till time of service. Mr. Douget was a resident of Elton. He died on Sunday in Mamou.
Survivors include his wife, Verna Cormier Douget; three sons, Cursey Douget Jr. & wife Anita of Church Point, Eric Shane Douget & wife Maria of Crowley, David Mark Douget of Lake Charles; one daughter, Gayla Douget of Elton; mother, Isabella Bertrand of Kinder; three brothers, Winston Douget & wife Caroline of Lake Charles, Kenneth Bellon & wife Grace of Kinder, Michael Bellon & wife Melissa of Elton; one sister, Brenda Ortego & husband Robert of Kinder; 14 grandchildren & 6 great grandchildren.
