Elton- Funeral service for Mr. Curry Kane Sylestine, 63,will be held Saturday, December 1, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in Elton Assembly of God Church. Rev. Dennis Hodges will officiate. Burial will be in St. Peters Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton.
Visitation will be held Friday from 4pm-10pm with a singing service at 6p.m. in the funeral home and will continue Saturday at 8a.m. until time of service.
Mr. Sylestine was a resident of Elton, a veteran of the Navy where he served in the USS Holland AS-32, member of Iron Workers Union # 678 and was a retired Gaming Inspector from Coushatta Casino Resort. He attended Elton Assembly of God & Indian Bible Church. Mr. Sylestine passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2007 in his residence.
Survivors include four daughters, Angela Guidry, Cindy Savant, Shonna Granger, Michelle Litteral all of Elton; sister, Edith Langley of Kinder; 8 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, Kent & Rosa Belle Sylestine; three brothers, Roland Sylestine, Kent Sylestine Jr., Charles Sylestine.
