Kinder-Funeral Services for Cody Deon Poncho, 30, will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder. Rev. Janson Poncho will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Peters Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 from 3-10 p.m. Visitation will resume on Thursday morning from 9 a.m. until time of service.

Cody was a loving son, brother and father. He dearly adored his children, Jax and Drake. He and his brother, Jeremy, enjoyed collecting comic books; while he and his sister, Kiana, bonded over their children. Cody loved spending time with his family. He was always showing that beautiful smile. A big heart doesn't even begin to describe Cody. He was wise, intelligent, kind, outgoing, social, caring and always trying to lend a helping hand where needed. Cody was known for his sayings that were always about life. He loved and adored his mother; always making sure she was taken care of. Cody was an avid New Orleans Saints fan and loved football. He was a well-kept person; always making sure he was dressed to impress. He enjoyed home-cooking and eating healthy food. Cody will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Cody's memory include his mother, Virginia King and step-father, Jeff King; father, Archie West; two sons, Jax Preston Poncho and Drake Sawyer Poncho; two brothers, Jeremy Lester and fiancée, Morgan Delvecchio and Alex West; three sisters, Kiana Lester Fontenot and husband, John; Tori Walls and Britney West; grandmother, Lora Langley; as well as, a huge host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
