Kinder-Celebration of Life services honoring Cody Blake Duplechain, 42, will be held at 2 o’clock p.m. on Friday afternoon, August 7, 2026, at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder. Pastor Robbie Rollins will officiate. Cody will be laid to rest at Green Oak Cemetery in Kinder, LA immediately following his services.

    Cody’s family will receive friends and visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder on Thursday afternoon, August 6, 2026, from 4-9 o’clock p.m. Cody’s visitation will resume at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder on Friday morning, August 7,2026, from 10 o’clock a.m. until time of service. All of Cody’s arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder.

    Cody was a loving son, dad, grandson, brother, uncle and friend to all. He was very talented working with his hands. He worked hard as a mechanic and could fix anything. Cody was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing, riding his four-wheeler, and being at the river. One of his favorite pastimes was riding the back roads listening to music. Cody was an incredible cook and loved to share meals with family and friends. He loved and adored his daughters and cherished every memory he made with them. Cody will be unconditionally loved and forever missed by all who knew him.

     Those left to cherish Cody’s memory include his mother, Rebecca Smith of Kinder, LA; two daughters, Harley and Hannah Duplechain both of Oberlin, LA; sister, Megan Parker and husband Michael of Moss Bluff, La; maternal grandparents, Buford and Juanita Smith of Kinder, LA; paternal grandparents, Darrell and Verline Duplechain of Oakdale, LA, two uncles, Kenneth Smith and Myka of Kinder, LA, and Gary Duplechain and wife Jessica of Oakdale, LA; one aunt, Paige Cooper of Jacksonville, FL; one niece, Bexley Parker; one nephew, Russell Parker; and a host of extended family members and friends.

     Cody is preceded in death by his father, Russell Duplechain; and one angel sister, Chelsea Smith.
