Obituary

Kinder-Cody Blake Darbonne, 37, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, May 13, 2025. Cody's family will host private memorial and inurnment services in his memory at a future date. All of Cody's arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder.

Cody's pride and joy was his son Carter. He always said Carter is all the best parts of him and was the best thing he had ever done. Cody was so proud of his handsome little man. Every moment he spent with Carter no matter how small or big, was Cody's favorite times. He was an amazing son to his mom, who he loved so very much. Cody loved his moms cooking it's where he got his love of cooking, and feeding his family and friends, from her. He could cook one of the best steaks you'd ever eat. Although he may have seemed tough, on the outside, to the world, he was a teddy bear to those fortunate enough to be loved and cared for by him, with bear hugs to match. Cody was the most giving person, he would give you anything he thought you needed, if he had it. But don't try to tickle him because you would have a wrestling match on your hands. Cody will be remembered for his contagious laugh, humor, and smile. But mostly for the love he had for his son, mom, sisters, brothers, family, and friends, especially Tara. He taught us all many things in life, the biggest being he taught us all is that no matter what you may think or feel of yourself, you are loved beyond measure, that you are needed here by someone, and loved deeply. And in the words of Cody "Now quit being soft, let's go to the casino".

Those left to cherish Cody's memory include his mother, Cynthia Ruehle; his father, Tony LeJeune and wife Angie; one son, Carter Darbonne; two brothers, Thomas Darbonne and wife Leigh, and Trent LeJeune and wife Bailey; four sisters, Cortnie Fogleman and husband Scott, and Tayler, Charlie, and Dana LeJeune; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Cody is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Sylvia Duplechain and Robert Paul Darbonne; Maternal Aunts, Gina Darbonne and Becky Duplechain; and his Paternal grandmother, Eloise LeJeune.
