Obituary

Mittie-Funeral service for Mr. Clint Joseph (Pete) Pitre, 80, will be held at 2PM on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Cherry Grove Baptist Church in Mittie, Louisiana. Rev. Ron Butler will officiate. Burial will follow in Cherry Grove Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 13, 2010 from 3-9PM at Cherry Grove Baptist Church and will continue on Tuesday morning from 9AM until time of service.
Mr. Pitre was a resident of Mittie, Louisiana. He served his country in the United States Army, having enlisted at the age of 16. He later enlisted in the United States Navy and saw combat in the Korean Conflict both in Japan and Korea. He retired with Citgo after 23 years as a machinist. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Mr. Pitre is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Anna Marcantel Pitre of Mittie; two sons, James Paul Pitre of Mittie and Joseph Charles and wife, Renae of Deridder; two daughters, Monett Houston and husband, James of LeBlanc and Teri Rose and husband, Carlton, Jr. of Iota; a brother, Lloyd Pitre and wife, Helen of Texas; a sister, Mary Ann Comberrel and husband, Anthony of Metairie; 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, James Paul Pitre and his parents, Amy and Morris Pitre.
