Clifton affectionately called Daddy, Dad, Paw-in-law, Pawpaw, or Mr. Clifton by those who loved him, was born on March 27, 1938, in Union County, MS, to the union of William B. and Lou Etta F. Bryant and was an only child. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather, uncle, and friend. Clifton was a devoted husband to his first wife Helen Jeanette Koon Bryant for 49 years until her passing in May of 2004, and to his second wife Helen L. Johnson Bryant whom he married on July 16, 2005, and has loved and remained married to until current day. He was a man of strong faith and a faithful member of Diamond Baptist Church in Deridder, LA where he attended church every chance he got. Clifton loved the Lord and loved to serve the Lord and worship him in song and while playing his guitar. He was well known in his community and admired by many. In his working years, Clifton worked hard in the paper industry to provide for his family and was employed by Boise Cascade. He hired on with Boise Cascade in 1969 and worked his way up to Shipping Clerk and retired in 1984. During his well-deserved retirement he enjoyed the outdoors, where he hunted, fished, and gardened, doing leather crafts where he became an exceptional leather craftsman, and doing wood and carpentry work. Clifton was an excellent carpenter and wood craftsman and assisted many of his family members and friends in building wood related projects. He was an outgoing person and always on the go. He enjoyed traveling with his current wife Helen and site seeing, and spending time with his family, especially all of his grandchildren. Clifton cherished every memory he made with his family and loved to take pictures of everyone. He loved music and loved to play his guitar, he especially loved old gospel songs. Clifton played his guitar and sang at many church and family functions. He was a loving and caring person and always had a smile on his face. He had a kind and gentle spirit and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Clifton leaves behind a legacy of hard work, love, and faith in God to his family. He has gone home to be with the Lord and rejoice in his presence. Clifton will be forever missed and unconditionally loved by all who knew him.
