Clifford was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a lifelong member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and the American Legion.  He served our country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Clifford was a kind and generous man whom never met a stranger. He enjoyed dancing, hunting deer, squirrel and rabbit, and visiting with family and friends. He and his wife, Dorothy, owned and operated Montou's grocery for forty-four years in Oberlin. Clifford was a devoted husband to his wife, Dorothy, for fifty-five years until her passing in December 2011. Clifford loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Clifford's memory include his two sons, Bradley Montou of Oberlin and Brent Montou and wife, Becky, of Oberlin; one daughter, Bettina Duplechain and husband, Dennis, of Lake Charles; seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Clifford is preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Alma Montou; wife, Dorothy Montou; one son, Bryant Montou; two brothers, Larry and Rogers Montou; and one sister, Louwilda Manuel.

The family would like to say a special thanks to Jeff Davis Living Center in Jennings for all of their love, care and support they have shown to Clifford and his family.
