Oakdale-Graveside services for Cleveland Whitstine, 89, will be held at 9 a.m. on Friday, June 4, 2021 at Hampton Cemetery. Bro. Roy Welch will officiate. All arrangements have been entrusted to Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

Cleve was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Effie, for sixty-nine years until her passing. He was a great mechanic and enjoyed doing maintenance work. Cleve and Effie worked with The Food Bank for many years at the Trinity Baptist Church out of Alexandria. Cleve was also a Deacon, as well as a Sunday School Teacher for Trinity Baptist Church. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Cleve's memory include his son, Terry Whitstine and wife, Elaine; numerous brothers and sisters; and two grandchildren.

Cleve is preceded in death by his parents, Semmie and Margaret Whitstine; wife, Effie Whitstine; two daughters, Ramona and Lisa Whitstine; and numerous brothers and sisters.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Cleve's brother, Curtis Paul, for taking such good care of him while he was sick.
