Elton-Funeral service for Cleveland Beard, Jr., 84, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at St. Paul Catholic Church. Rev. Jose

Vattakunnel will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home.

Cleveland was a loving husband and father. He was an educator throughout his career having spent several years as a Principal and Head

Football Coach of Elton High School. At the time of his retirement, Cleveland was Jefferson Davis Parish Superintendent of schools. Cleveland will

be remembered and missed by many throughout Elton and the surrounding areas.

Those left to cherish Cleveland's memory include his wife, Barbara Kidd Beard of Elton; two sons, John Patrick Beard and Randall Steven Beard,

both of Houston, TX; one sister, Geneva Beard Veillon of Westlake; one brother-in-law, William Kidd and wife, Rita of Broussard; and one sister-in-

law, Regina Beard of Oberlin.

Cleveland is preceded in death by his parents, Cleveland Beard, Sr. and Ollie Darbonne Beard; and one brother, Phillip Beard.
