Oberlin-A Mass of Christian Burial for Clement O. Lejeune, Jr. "C.J.",79, will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2020, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Rev. Jerish George will officiate. Burial will follow at Oaklin Springs Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oberlin on Monday, August 3, 2020, from 4-9 p.m. with the Holy Rosary being prayed at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will resume on Tuesday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service. . ***Please note, due to state mandates, a face covering is required inside and social distancing must be maintained throughout your visit. ***

C.J. was a loving father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and godfather. He worked very hard as a rice farmer for many years to provide for his family. He loved hunting, fishing, being outdoors, gardening, listening to old country music, and working in his yard. C.J. loved to cook and made the best corn soup, gumbo, and barbeque. He cherished every moment he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed visiting and spending time with his friends any chance he had. C.J. was a lifelong member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and treasurer of the Knights of Columbus Oberlin Council. He valued watching westerns, Dr. Pol, Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. C.J. will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish C.J.'s memory include his son, Craig Lejeune and wife, Kathy, of Oberlin; three daughters, Michelle Simmons and husband, Jerry, of Waco, Jacqueline Hamilton and husband, Richard, of Kinder and Monique Shaw of Oberlin; five sisters, Natalie Monceaux and husband, Randy, of Rayne, Deborah Lejeune of Lake Charles, Jeanne Fontenot and husband, Bob, of Lake Charles, Cindy Brunson and husband, Galand, of Mabank, TX and Bernadette Courville and husband, Julius, of Lake Charles; nine grandchildren, Tabatha, Cristy, Cindy, Blake, Ashleigh, Taylor, Sara, Cameron and Blaine; nine great-grandchildren, Jada, Katelyn, Shelbie, Hunter, Caleb, Nathaniel, Harper, Roseleigh, and baby Jonathan on the way; and his companion of fourteen years, Mary Fruge.

C.J. is preceded in death by his parents, Clement and Dorothy Lejeune and one daughter, Angelle Lejeune Durio.
