Kinder-Funeral services for Claude B. "C.B" Johnson, 84, will be held on
Monday, March 21, 2011 at 10AM in Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
Rev. Carlos Garcia will officiate. Burial will follow in Carter Cemetery under
the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2011 from 3-9PM in Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder and will continue on Monday, March 21, 2011 from 8AM until time of service.
Claude was a resident of Kinder. He retired with the State of Louisiana after 26 years as a bridge builder. He thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of his work and he enjoyed working side by side with his co-workers. He loved to fish, hunt, and entertain with his backyard cookouts, especially with his best friend, Mr. Burk Fontenot. He also loved tending his garden and watching football. He loved his country and proudly served in the United States Army. He was stationed overseas in Japan and was honored with several medals and ribbons while enlisted.
Survivors include his son, Danny Johnson and wife, Vicki of Kinder; and five sisters, Edith Fontenot of Duralde, Laura Thaggard and husband, George and Ida Scholtz, all of Mississippi, Mildred Simon of Roanoke, and Hazie Duplechain of Lafayette.
Claude is preceeded in death by his parents, Louise and Demart Johnson, his wife, Evie Leger Johnson, and his brothers, J.C., J.B., Tiny, and Joe Johnson.
