Kinder-Funeral Services for Claude "Bruce" Broussard, 91, will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Rev. Whitney Miller will officiate. Burial will follow at Carter Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.
The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home from 8 a.m. until time of service***Please note, due to state mandates, a face covering is required inside and social distancing must be maintained throughout your visit. ***.
Claude was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Wilma, for seventy-two years. He was a lifelong member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church and was very proud of his Catholic faith. He was also a member of the Kinder Jaycee. Claude was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He started working when he was only fourteen years old and worked very hard to provide for his family. Claude loved playing cards, celebrating mardi gras, spending time with family and dancing. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish Claude's memory include his wife, Wilma Broussard; daughter, Rachel Langley and husband, Tim, of Kinder; two grandchildren, Katy Poe and husband, Jeremy, of Kinder and Amber Gill and husband, Dustin, of Moscow, ID; and four great grandchildren, Katelyn Poe, Jillian Poe, Ethan and Emma Gill.
Claude is preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Alice Broussard; four brothers, Carroll, Vern, Douglas and Lloyd Broussard; three sisters, Ida Allemand, Leona Sonnier and Jane McFarland; and one granddaughter, Emily Langley.
