Kinder-Homegoing services honoring Claire G. Albert, 70, will be held at 2 o'clock p.m. on Friday, May 31, 2024, at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder. Rev. Eddie Alfred will officiate. Claire's family will host private inurnment services at a future date.
Claire's family will receive friends and visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder on Friday morning, May 31, 2024, from 10 o'clock a.m. until time of service. All of Claire's arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder.
On May 26, 2024, our Father God saw that his daughter's journey here with us had come to an end. Claire Gwendolyn "BaBa" Duhe Albert entered eternal rest at Kinder Retirement and Rehabilitation Center at 5:50 a.m. under the care of Brighton Bridge Hospice. Her family was able to be present with her the day before she transitioned. Claire Gwendolyn "BaBa" Duhe was born in Leesville, Louisiana to the union of Iona and Ellis Duhe Sr. on Valentine's Day, February 14, 1954. The family would move to Garyville, LA where she was reared up by Alice Duhe and Ellis Duhe Sr. with her brothers and sisters. She accepted the Lord, Jesus Christ as her personal savior and was baptized by Rev. Paul Roussell at True Light Baptist Church in Garyville, LA. Claire G. Duhe graduated from Leon Godchaux High School in 1972. She met Johnny Albert and worked briefly at Dobb House in Kenner, LA. "BaBa" was a home maker, caregiver, and an avid babysitter for many. She will be forever missed and unconditionally loved by all who knew her.
She leaves behind to cherish her precious memories, one son Emanuel Albert, (Laquinta); seven grandchildren, Adriana Albert, Rayshawn, Alija, DeiShawn Marsalis, Elijah, Lawren, and Elias Albert, two great grandchildren, Royce Dominique Smith, and Royalti Marsalis; two sisters, Ellis Marie Duhe of California, and Gloria Jean Duhe; three brothers Ellis Duhe Sr, (Marva) of LaPlace, LA, Gilbert Duhe Sr. of Fenton, LA, and Michael Eugene Duhe of Fenton, LA; one devoted nephew, Gilbert Duhe Jr., (Kim) of Fenton, LA; one niece, Janel Duhe Bazile (Cornell) of Gonzales, LA; one aunt Lorraine Duhe; one uncle Joseph Duhe of Laplace, LA, a host of nieces, and their children Yumiko of LaPlace, LA, Daphne of California, Alice of LaPlace, LA, Sherlyn of Texas, Nedra of LaPlace, LA; a host of nephews, Joseph of Texas, Junius of California, Carlos of LaPlace, LA, and Michael of Kenner, LA; and numerous cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Iona Allen Duhe, Alice White Duhe, Ellis Duhe Sr, one son, Adrain Dwayne Albert, two sisters, Kathy Ann Duhe Green, and Marilyn Jones; and three nephews, Clifton Thomas Duhe, Edmond Duhe, and Alvin Green.
