Kinder-Chevy Lee Eaves, 39, passed away on Friday, October 8, 2021.  Chevy was born on November 30, 1981 in Kinder, Louisiana.  All arrangements for Chevy have been entrusted to Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

Many knew Chevy only through the lens of the addictions he battled for years. That wasn't the real Chevy though. Those fortunate enough to truly know him recognized him as one who would give anything he had to help a friend. He was a hard- working guy who loved the country life. He loved being in the woods, fishing, hunting, camping, or just being outdoors hanging out with family and friends. He was a thoughtful, outspoken, and sometimes, sarcastic guy with a lot of promise. That was Chevy and that is how he will be remembered by those who were lucky enough to know him.

Chevy was honest about his struggles as well as his strong desire for a change. He wanted to live. He never gave up, but the chains that bound him were stronger than anything he could do on his own. He fought this battle for years, and truly sought God's help during his struggle. He knew Jesus Christ as his Savior and, in the end it was He who finally decided Chevy struggled enough and brought him home peacefully.

Those left to cherish his memories are his parents, Joseph Tracy and Janice Kay Eaves of LeBlanc; two sisters, Tristy Bree Eaves and Jamie Michelle Eaves of LeBlanc; four brothers, Trace Duran Eaves and wife, Mary Alice of Oberlin, Coye Brent Eaves, Terry Joseph Eaves, and Hayden Scott Eaves, all of LeBlanc; his girlfriend, Kristy Anne Wilson of Kinder; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Chevy's family will be honoring his wishes to be cremated and his memorial service will be a gathering for his family and friends beginning at 12 noon on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at his parent's home at 1960 Methodist Camp Road in LeBlanc.
