Kinder-Funeral service for Chester Joseph Cormier, Sr., will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 30, 2016, at Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder. Rev. Glen Ducharme and Rev. Alfred Gibson will officiate. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home.
The family will receive visitors at Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder from 4-9 p.m. Thursday, September 29, 2016. Visitation will resume on Friday morning from
8 a.m. until time of service.
Chester was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Chester had a passion for music which included playing the guitar and writing his own music. He loved to fish, garden, speak French, and serve the Lord. Chester will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish Chester's memory include his wife, Carol, of Reeves; four sons, , Rodney Cormier and wife, Pamela, of Topsy, Chester (Joe) Cormier, Jr. and wife, Alisha, of Ragley, William Edwards (Bb) and Dylan Edwards both of Reeves; one daughter, Ciera Edwards of Reeves; four grandchildren, Shane Cormier and wife, Elizabeth, of Topsy, Brittany Fontenot, Tyler Cormier and Ashley Cormier all of Ragley; and three great-grandchildren, Javon Marcantel, Oscar Cummings, and Andrew Cummings, Jr., all of Ragley; and a host of nephews and nieces, including Hailey Herron who lived with him.
Chester is preceded in death by his parents, Ores and Adela Cormier.
