IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Charlie
Carson
January 1, 1957 – May 3, 2020
Kinder- Charlie Carson, 63, of Kinder, Louisiana, passed away on May 3, 2020. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at Green Oak Cemetery with Rev. Glenn Ducharme officiating. All arrangements have been entrusted to Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.
He was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to Ernest Leroy Carson and Dottie Mae Griffeth and lived in Kinder his whole life. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother Johnny Leroy Carson.
He graduated from Kinder High School and had a successful career fishing and hunting - in addition to his favorite job cooking Friday lunch for a regular crew of locals and good friends. He also spent time working offshore, rice farming and as the neighborhood 'junk man.'
Charlie was a loyal friend and would be there without question if anyone needed him. He was a colorful, feisty character with a kind heart - most comfortable in overalls and a camo ball cap. His claim to fame - he is a character in the book 'The Green Oak Boys' by Herbert Ray Pitre!
Charlie loved his family and telling his nieces and nephew about his hunting adventures was at the top of his list of favorite things.
While the rest of the world always seems to be speeding up, Charlie's life reminds us that sometimes you can find true perspective with just a fishing pole.
He leaves behind a sister, Diane Carson Lott and two nieces, Diana Lott and Ashley Lott Ohls and husband, Ryan and great niece and nephew, Callie Ann and RJ Ohls.
