Reeves- Funeral service for Charles Perry Bruce, 94, will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at the Creel Memorial Gardens Chapel.  Rev. Charlie Carroll and Rev. Glen Ducharme will officiate.  Burial will follow in Creel Memorial Gardens under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 from 6-9 p.m.  Visitation will resume on Thursday morning at Creel Memorial Gardens Chapel beginning at 9 a.m. until time of service.

Charles Perry Bruce was a hard-working, industrious, and Christian man who loved his family dearly. After he retired he took on many projects as well as driving a truck. He was well known for his sweet tooth and socializing over afternoon coffee. The main thing apparent in his life was how fond he was of his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. He loved children and loved hearing what they had to say.  Perry will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Perry's memory include his wife, Sharon Bushnell Bruce of Reeves; one sister, Nelda Monk of Iowa; 3 grandchildren, Glen Bruce and wife, Nicole of Reeves, Michael Bruce of Reeves, and Mandy Bruce of Longview, TX; 6 great grandchildren, Hunter Guillory and Emma, Marci, Olivia, Kaymie, and Kara Bruce; two great-great grandchildren, Taylee Guillory and Aubrey Bruce; and one great-great granddaughter on the way.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, Ramona Gayle Bruce; his three sons, Jeffery Ralph Bruce, Russell Gary Bruce, and Charles Larry Bruce; and two brothers, Bob and Doyle Bruce.
