Oakdale-Funeral services for Charles Funderburk, 63, will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale. Rev. Troy Doyle will officiate. Burial will follow at Occupy #1 Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home on Thursday, November 3, 2022 from 10 a.m. until time of service.

Charles, affectionately known by many as "Mickey", was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather. Mickey was happily married to his wife, Brenda, for forty-five years. She was his pride and joy in life. He loved to fish, hunt, work on all types of vehicles and most of all spend time with his family. His favorite times include outdoor barbeques and Louisiana crawfish boils. Mickey loved reminiscing over old times and doting over all his kids and grandkids. Mickey will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Charles' memory include his wife, Brenda Funderburk; son, Charlie Funderburk; four daughters, Felicia (Jessie-Lee) Wigley, Tiffany (Ruben) Cormier, Olivia (Toby) Stanley and Micki Johnson; three brothers, Samuel (Alene) Funderburk, Hubie Funderburk and David (Angie) Funderburk; seventeen grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Mary Funderburk; and three sisters, Sue Striedel Jordan, Rhonda Stockman and Judy Funderburk.
