Oberlin-A Mass of Christian Burial for Charles "Steve" Chapman, 72, will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Clyde Thomas will officiate. Burial will follow at Oaklin Springs Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oberlin on Friday, February 4, 2022 from 4-9 p.m. with the Holy Rosary being prayed at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume on Saturday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.

Steve was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a loving husband to his wife, Jo-Ann, for fifty-two years. Steve worked hard in the plants to provide for his family. He enjoyed being outdoors from camping, hunting and to even cooking outside. Steve was a faithful member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, as well as a lifelong resident of Oberlin. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Steve's memory include his mom, Dorothy Chapman of Oberlin; wife, Jo-Ann Chapman of Oberlin; son, Barrett Chapman and wife, Nikki, of Elizabeth; daughter, Beth Wheeler and husband, Dubby, of Tomball, TX; five grandchildren, Logan Chapman, Mikayla Chapman, Artè Craft, Jonah Wheeler and Alease Craft; and one great granddaughter, Haisleigh Chapman.

Steve is preceded in death by his father, Andrew Chapman; and one brother, Dennis Chapman.
