All of Celeste's arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale.
Celeste entered eternal rest on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at her home in Oakdale with her loving family by her side. She was first and foremost a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Celeste was affectionately called "Granny" by her grandchildren and "GG" by her great grandchildren. Celeste was a faithful and devoted wife to her husband Richard Joseph Michael for 20 years. She had a servant's heart and took wonderful care of her mother in her final days as well as her husband for over 17 years. Celeste was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Oakdale where she served on several committees as well as assisting with Vacation Bible School. She had a profound passion for arts and crafts that could be seen in her wreaths, floral arrangements, and other numerous craft projects that she created throughout the years. Celeste adored her family and loved spending time with them. Sitting around the table with her family and playing board games, putting together puzzles and reading to her grandchildren were only a few of the great joys Celeste found in life. She also loved to visit and share memories with her brother Terry. Celeste was a very kind and caring person and will be forever missed and unconditionally loved by all who knew her.
Those left to cherish Celeste's memory include one son, Ronald Dwain Clark and wife Amy of Dry Prong, LA, one daughter, Catherine Clark Soileau and husband Brian of Moss Bluff, LA; nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Celeste is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Joseph Michael; her parents, L.E. and Charlotte Potts Perkins; and one brother, Lyndale Perkins.
