Oakdale-Celebration of Life services honoring Carrie Cloud Pourteau, 91, will be held at 1 o'clock p.m. on Monday, April 29, 2024, at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale. Revs. Wade Lambright and Don Duplichain will officiate. Carrie will be laid to rest at Oak Hill cemetery in Oakdale immediately following her services.

Carrie's family will accept friends and visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale on Sunday evening, April 28, 2024, from 3-7 o'clock p.m. Carrie's visitation will resume at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale on Monday morning, April 29, 2024, from 9 o'clock a.m. until time of service. All of Carrie's arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale.

Carrie was born on June 20, 1933, at her childhood home in Oakdale, LA, to the union of Cage and Martha Cloud, and was the third born of ten children. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister aunt and friend. Carrie enjoyed spending time with her family and cherished every memory she made with them. She loved to cook for her family on Sundays after church. She raised her grandson, Heath Lambright and together they loved spending time together, sitting on the porch, going to church, talking about the bible, and singing church songs. Some of Carrie's favorite past times were crocheting, quilting, completing word searches, and gardening where she grew beautiful daylilies that she sold to the public. Carrie also loved to travel the United States and see the country. She was a proud member of the Four Winds and Southern Oklahoma Indian Tribes. Carrie also had three pets that she loved dearly. She was a wonderful person and will be forever missed and unconditionally loved by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish Carrie's memory include one son, Terry Jowers, one daughter, Turita Jowers; one sister, Martha Cloud Hyatt; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Carrie is preceded in death by her parents, Cage and Martha Cloud; one great granddaughter, Stephanie Jowers; and eight siblings.
