Carla's family will receive friends and visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oberlin on Thursday morning, September 25, 2025, from 9 o'clock a.m. until time of service with the recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 12 o'clock noon. All of Carla's arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oberlin.
Carla was a loving, devoted, and caring mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved cooking but was especially talented at baking. Her "mystery pie" and buttermilk pie were just a couple of the wonderful things she made. Carla had a great relationship with her nieces and nephews and was very special to them. Her biggest passion of all was her family. She never missed an opportunity to spend time and make memories with them. Carla had a green thumb and loved to work outdoors in her yard. Her yard was always immaculate. She was a kind and caring person and will be forever missed and unconditionally loved by all who knew her.
Those left to cherish Carla's memory include her two sons, Trey Buck and wife Adrienne and Kirby Buck and wife Laken, one daughter, Britney Chaumont and husband Dustin; three brothers, Rene Reed and wife Kay, Deacon Fred Reed and wife Judy, and Steve Reed and wife Marilyn; eight grandchildren, Jayden, Courbin, Gunner, Bowen, Landry, Finley, Ridge, and Belle; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Carla is preceded in death by her parents, Carl, and Anna-lee Reed; one infant son, Paul Buck; and one brother, Leo Reed; and one sister-in-law, Sandra Reed.
Condolences and expressions of sympathy may be shared with Carla's family at www.ardoinfuneralhome.com or on Facebook-Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.
